Butia Eriospatha

My Butia tuned up today .Don't no how hardy it will be .It might have to go in the ground come spring .To much grief dragging it in and out in the pot .Its got some serious roots on it .I also want a Waggy too .

I give my Abutilons Brugmansia Aeoniums and palms Echiums some water .But my Cannas Dahlias Cactus and Ensete I keep dry .

That's a green Ensete I think .Its best to keep it dry in a south facing window .In dry soil it should recover .They come back better than Maurelii.

Been down to Plymouth today . But noticed lots of flooding on the way back in Dorset . Some houses being pumped and some closed off roads .The river Stour in Wimborne is across some fields .Some of the animals have been moved to higher ground . Surreys a big area from Farnham up to Croydon near London . Some cold spots in the sticks .Some big palms in surrey . I had Rhodochiton in the conservatory it got to about 7 feet .I accidentally cut the growing point off . That made it grow multi growing points and look more bushy .

I had that Succulent in the basket I like that one .The hanging succulents look good like Carboprotus edulus . I could build something from pallets . Its a big collection of succulents to bring in winter time .So maybe something small to start with .

I don't like to many containers .But I like some of the living wall ideas .Succulents look good but you need winter storage . I find the succulents addictive you just want more of them .I had to cut back for space .

Brugmansia if you have the room to bring in for winter time . Hardy stuff I keep the Lilies in the ground all year they smell great .You can get the bulbs about this time or early spring . Lavender also hardy. I have one of them .

Basjoo can grow fast if cut to the ground .If cut to the ground they can pup like crazy .But your have a space with nothing to look at in till say June.
