Re: Crews Hill, North London

Hi Neil we actually turned the van round in the station car park - it didn't seem far, but I was being chauffeur driving! I seem to remember nurseries all the way up to the station - basically the whole of Cattlegate Road and Theobalds Park Road was wall to wall nurseries / tropical fish shops / rep...

That size was £80 at Crews Hill Cathy - so well done for sniffing out a bargain.

Re: Crews Hill, North London

MarkD - from your photo of 'the staff' it looks like both of the best tree ferns were sold (the bendy one and the one carry a pup on the side).

Mark - there were definitely couple of people with their eyes on your banana mate.

Re: Crews Hill, North London

PS: how do you get these smilies to work? the words 'wink' and 'lol' don't have the same impact... Hi Lee we have a few techinical difficulties with the smilies at the moment - Adrian is going to look into it but his end of term college work is a lot more important than us rabble chatting about pla...

Re: Crews Hill, North London

I'm home - the rest were going onto another nursery I think - there are bloody hundreds of them there! (well maybe not hundreds but more nurseries than I have ever seen in one place before - possibly thirty or more?) I went intending to get some soil and fish food - I came away with yet another vari...

Re: Arundo pruning?

Col even more amusing is that Grub picked up a job lot of them cheap and gave them out at a HTUK get together. Me and Gaz both got them from Grub - you could say Grub gave us both a golden shower. Mine is starting to get thick canes after 2 years of pampering it - so I hope it may turn out as...

Arundo pruning?

Hi All just wondering - is it best to cut out ALL of the previous years canes - or just thin out some of the older ones? I want to encourage the fattest canes I can this year but can't decide if it would be better to remove everything so that all the energy goes into the new growth - or if it will n...

Re: Help me decide Rhapis or Parrotts

We had an outdoor aviary at my parents house. I would advise against parakeets and zebra finches as they are noisy (and its not a pretty sound from either of them) - canaries on the other hand were lovely - we had mainly gloucester canaries that all had funky 60's haircuts like the 'beatles' and liv...

Basjoo, in the ground, and Siki, in a large pot, were both unprotected all winter and are both fine - not as advanced as yours though.

I am interested top see how my unprotected experiements of Maurelli has done.

Not fair! When I was working in Norwich I didn't get any time off for good behaviour! Hence I didn't manage to meet up with Melissa and Keith. :(

Blimey!

For £2,000 you can choose any of my palms. In fact for £2,000 I think you could have them all!

Hi Tom

this is something you change yourself in your profile (I think it is because we are an international board - so we don't make the whole world follow our strange little practice  )

Goto:

UserControlPanel
BoardPreferences
My Timezone

Hope this helps.

Cheers
