There is already a non hardy one that sort of looks like that Helen :lol: (from Japan I believe but rarer than hens teeth) http://www.page.sannet.ne.jp/chama/Tetr ... 090028.jpg but it looks like it's been sucked dry and with the yellow varigation at least it won't get sunburn :wink:

After chasing around trying to locate a Tetrapanax for a while i just wanted to say thanks, it arrived next day safe and sound. Very nice plant to. Maybe this post malarky isnt so bad after all. :wink:

Very odd, the leaves look more like loquat leaves now than tetrapanax (to my eyes anyway).

Despite the different appearance the leaves look healthy to me. If it bothers you would you consider decapitating the 'deviant' head?

I contacted him and he said that he's not a member but does keep an eye on the forum. He's got an open day on 17th August - day after the Will Giles meet for anyone still around maybe.

I like the larger leafed plants Gunnera Manicata Tetrapanax Rex Dicksonia Antarctica Rheum palmatum Trachycarpus Fortunei Musa Basjoo the list goes on and on .... All will provide a large wingspan in no time plus they are easy to obtain and relatively ...
