The Trachycarpus should be fine, still lots of warmth left un the soil to encourage root growth. I have even planted one out in mid-December! I would not plant the others out. Im with Kata on this one, cant see that we will have enough heat temp wise or light time for anything to really get established, and you could see a lot of grief if winter is a bad one. If you havent already bought the plants spend the winter planning and reading up on what you plan to do, this site...

Just to add my tuppence for what it's worth to this thread, and i know that Portsmouth is suppose to have a fantastic micro climate.
