The Met office has suggested that this stormy weather is linked to very warm, wet weather in Indonesia caused by warmer than average sea temps, buckling the Jet stream over the Pacific, and has displaced the Jet stream around the globe from there on. If that is the case it might suggest a long term...

Polypodium vulgare, Polypodium interjectum, Polypodium cambricum.

Likely other Polypodium species too; the three above are all native to Britain.

Looks etiolated from too much shade. Give it full sun dawn to dusk, and the petioles will be shorter, stouter and stronger.

Light dusting here first thing this morning, but it soon thawed.

Met Office have issued a Yellow Snow Warning :ahhh!: for the Pennines and Scottish mountains for this evening, with blizzard conditions.
