Gardeners world started on bbc2 yeasterday and they was an interesting short piece on a patio garden in Broadstairs i the particularly liked the Santa cruz ironwood and the Musiflora Canna .

i too share your frustration Karl and Jas since it was this forum that really got me into tropical gardening in the first place . i like many others i am sure dont use or wish to use facebookl or its kin so yes a need for thuis forum is still there i hope

i personally would leave it a few weeks keep it in sheltered area and protect root/pot keep pup as is also .Especially given your northern aspect.Oh and welcome to the forum Dave

welcome to the forum to start.Whilst im no expert on staghorn ferns yellowing on leaves on any plant is usually down to one of the following.overwatering underwatering lack of nutrienrts or too cold. The choice is yours but also look for any infestaion of some kind like aphids etc.

deffo donot use normal potting compost. A mixture of peat and pearlite is best. VFT need nutrient free medium some have had been experementing with coir. pot about an inch/25mm larger than existing pot.pot on whilst dormant if possible.there is specialist compost available from some garden ctrs.Take...
