2 phormiums and a cipd have had it , one cordyline looks very sorry for itself , but one the bright side my dinner plate dahlias which I didn't bother to dig up are coming back and for the first time ever I've managed to get my fuschias to survive . Plus also losing a few plants means I can buy some...

Really liked the bit they done on the fern forest in Ireland , looked awesome. Didn't see much else of it tbh.
Looking forward to going to gardeners world live in a couple of weeks though. Went a couple of years ago and it's a great day out.

at a garden centre near me that i visited at the weekend they had ones with about a foot of trunk for £11,99 .
is that a good price ? i was just browsing and fancy one but am waiting til the threat of frost has gone before i start spending out again.

Thanks guys. That has made think of trying full spectrum CFLs with a reflector made out of tin foil type material to reflect the light around. popped in homebase again today and got a nice dragon tree for £3.50 reduced from £15. had a load of of other stuff in there today , box balls , roses , hebes and loads of houseplants all reduced nothing else really caught my eye though - might be worth you having a look and seeing what they have got...

went in homebase with the mrs to look at bathrooms and thought i would have a quick look at the plants while i was there, found a yucca gloriosa and a chammy both reduced to five quid, and three strawberry pots for a tenner which im going to do some succulents in - i couldnt resist them for that mon...
