Orange Trumpet Vine
I can keep it alive but can't get it to flower, probably because its trying to do it during the winter half of the year when light levels are poor in the UK. I official gave up trying a few years ago!

Hydrangea seemannii.
My plant is one of Neil Tresseders original introduction from the 1980's and was one of the first to start flowering, something it has done reliably ever since, so we have had it over 30 years now, the flowers come out of large buds, quite unlike other Hydrangea, they are strongly scented, similar t...

Tropical Abutilon-like plant ID?
There are several Clerodendrum that will just about survive in the UK but I have found outside most are hard to get to flower and now only have C myricoides Ugandense, that does OK but I see its been decided its now Rotheca myricoides so may be thats why! (and even that does better with winter under...

Creating an Exotic Conservatory
I only knew about the Termites because my sons girlfriend at university lived in one of the houses affected, sounded pretty grim, poor girls parents had fallen out and wanted to divorce but were unable to sell the house so had divided it into two halves !

George, the best way to get rid of termites that I know about is move to the UK, we don't have them here Actually they did have an out break in North Devon at Saunton sands, not sure if they are now eradicated (I think George is maybe plugging his business?) https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/...

Difference between Cooperi and Australis
Where do you get yours from? Also what are the tell tale signs of difference between the C Cooperi and C Australis as apparently they get marked up wrong for some reason so I want to make sure I have what was sold to me I pick up the Cyathia cooperi on Madeira, they have become naturalized in the n...

Difference between Cooperi and Australis
I have found C cooperi to be easy with winter protection but dies as soon as you forget! (and I am in Cornwall so warmer than you) Following advice from the late Steve Pope If you over pot them they grow much better, gentle feeding as well helps, my cooperi went from a tiny thumb size plant to 4' of...

Mower replacement needed
I am not sure I understand the issue? is it the mower in use that you are worried about?
Surely when not in use the mower just sits on its wheels and is quite safe?

I would love to get the true Passiflora antioquiensis back having lost it a few years ago, so far all plants I have got hold of have been its hybrids The effect is similar to this picture of Passiflora 'Mission Delores' but with much longer peduncles https://farm1.staticflickr.com/650/21198589388_eb...
