i agree with all of monkeydavids suggestions however i would disagree about Chamerhops mine came through the lasr really bad winter all be it with a rain shelter to keep the snow out of the center of palm. For me Akamba no where near as good as it just to be. Owner seems to be leaning more to wards entertainment and food.Still worth the odd visit though.

Jas glad you enjoyed it.As for the Jacobinia Pauciflora i bought one of those a couple of years ago (yes at Malvern) it spends it life in a pot outside spring and simmer etc and spend the winter in the cold greenhouse.It is in flower now.

Hi my Sikkimensis came through winter fine as i described for the Basjoo in the Banana section. You can cut the point off the Yucca cut just above the leaf if you so wish. Nice collection though

musa bajoo are root hardy so will resprout from the root anyway. 1 would continue to cut the pseudostem a liitle at a time until you find(hopefully} a grren center core.
