-2c here last night (19th nov) at 9 pm stayed in minuses til about midnight, then slightly warmed through the night to just above +2c by 6am

no havent wrapped underneath the pots , and got them raised off the floor to help with drainage

cheers all , no they are not that large to drag in the greenhouse but with the staging i built (which is how i found this place - think it was daves plans ) they would have to go down the middle of the greenhouse which means i cant really get into it to wipe down the condensation or open the windows.

i dont know how much light the plants you listed need but i have used cfls in the past 125w cfl bulbs like those linked are pretty much useless for more than one plant apart from for seedlings as the they need to be hung so close to the plants to get any usuable light off them , and you definately n...

i have one of these ones, although it doesnt connect to pc it does have temp/wind/rain history and max mins

for the money i think its quite good as long as you set the pressure manually to begin with.

think i will try that then , i was just worried with it being indoors that it would carry on growing and soon become too big .
might cut a couple of the little corns off and store dry as a bit of a insurance policy as well.

hi kristen , if i can get the musa through the winter i am planning to plant it in the ground next spring , ive got a bit of ground work to do in the area first so am not able to get in until that is completed as it would be in the way. any advice on keeping the colocasia going indoors over winter ?...

it can get down to a couple of degrees below in my greenhouse during the worst of the weather , but the drainpipe idea is a great one - never thought of that , would be so much easier to put on and off as needed and when it gets really cold i could just put a bit of bubble wrap around it - think i w...
