Welcome back HTUK
There were too many people reading the forum but not bothering to contribute; bit selfish really. It has been down bit not for a long time apart from the odd brief blip.

Can my Lapageria be saved?
But I've heard those automated watering setups and not reliable, We haven't had a problem and ours has been in a year. We have one running a hose and the other runs a misting system. Ours waters a 30 by 18 foot polytunnel so it has lots of drippers running off of it and the misting system. We set i...

Can my Lapageria be saved?
I attend to my plants rather erratically and like to keep it low-maintenance, so a greenhouse wouldn't work for me other than for some drought-resistant cacti maybe. Even if I disciplined myself to water the plants in the greenhouse regularly, they'd die the next time I went on a 3 month long holid...

Cactus
I know of two people with large outdoor cactus gardens. One person is in the south, one in West Yorkshire. The have built raised beds with lots of drainage in the bottom. Its the wet combined with the cold that is a problem. A couple of people on here grow them. At least one person has theirs under ...

Good morning all.
I don't think we get quite as many flowers on ours. I might be able to smell it close up if I hadn't got a cold but this year the cordyline is so strong it blots anything else out.

Good morning all.
Hello.
I have never noticed the flowers on phormium being scented, not ours anyway. Perhaps its because they aren't close to the patch and we have a large open garden?

Cordylines. Pruning help
If you wait until the leaves go brown then pull down sharply they come off clean leaving you that pattern on the trunk, by cutting them you will still get that effect but will have to wait until the leaf stumps fall off naturally. And all the pictures are of Cordyline australis he he, saved me from...

Dasylirion Advice Please
Doesn't look like there's anything wrong with it, the leaf tips are supposed to look like that. They're very drought tolerant & require very free draining soil & thrive on neglect. Keep it on the dry side over winter as they hate being cold and wet I'm not an expert but mine looks like that...

I’ve some bloodgrass and I’ve found it not to hard to keep. Its doesn’t like very wet soil but good drainage. It can take full sun or partial shade.I normally cut just above ground level in February.Looks stunning in clumps.Seeds could be hard to come by as it rarely flowers. Hmm, I'm even more confu...
