Tropicals on the coast at New Brighton

Took a trip to New Brighton on a cold blustery bank holiday weekend Saturday. I was however surprised to see all the lovely tropical looking gardens on the seafront. Thought I'd share the pictures.

Southsea Canary Island Date Palms.

Has anyone got any updated pictures or videos of the date palms on Southsea common? Dave has pictues and videos from a few years ago, but I'd love to see how they are doing and how they coped with and if they survived the severe winters of 2010 and 2011.

They look ok at th...

I'm buying a heater for the winter anyway on monday but i may have to use it before then if this continues! I al...

Here's some new pictures of my new additions, not really any growth on anything as yet though. I've added another 3 traccies (2 only £12 each!) a chammy, 2 yuccas, delosperma, hebe and a red star cordyline, Had more than enough rain to water them in,just need sunshine and warmth now!!!
