No not hard at all in fact probably easier than plastic.
I use staples now, but have used nails in the past just find a staple gun quicker. In both cases use Copper icon_thumright

Or line it out with Butyl Pond liner, bit more expensive but should last longer

I think I crammed a bit too much in this year. I like the garden to be full but this year it was full to bursting point. Used to drive past this last year and it is taller than this old street view pic, trunk is filling out nicely, never seen it protected. Calm here, not even a breeze.. For you living down south, did you not see the news last night! They were advising people NOT to go to work, that the trains wouldnt be running before 9 at least as they had to check the tracks for falling trees etc and to not use your cars as it could be too dangerou...

Seemed to have got off lightly around Portsmouth, odd tree down here and there couple in the road on the way to work and a few leaning right over.
Still pretty blustery so might see a few more go yet !!

That Depression has already caused damage to a neighbours gable end and the roof on a single story

I'm looking at losing more than my Basjoo's most of the stuff in my garden is way above 6ft fence level, and since the council ripped out all the trees and bushes to the back and side of me to build a new Bus lane, I'm totally exposed to South south westerly Blow's.
