i was there last sun , the palm house was open , place was huge didnt get around all of it, the paulownia foxglove mature trees i was shocked at how tall and big these were . Did they have a washingtonia robusta there cos i was trying to find one? :D i loved the mushrooms i want one for my garden! :P

love these palms, id quite to purchase a washington, were can i get a good size one.. do u think a 15 ltr is a good size to start from..

just found this picture on my laptop, same plant earlier this year in June!! i think its definitely now spreading its leaves for the light, as the tree to the left blocks some of the light..

yea will do, i also have a canna, its the first time ive grown it, but it got really big and tall but never flowered..... :( am i right in thinking the first yr of canna's dont always flower. come to think of it, i never fed it though...

yep that was my main concern, but i just checked i ordered it back in 2009 TETRAPANAX PAPYRIFER 'REX', 10ltr - £35.00 ,from amulree. so im pretty sure its a rex. so its not at old as i thought but been in there a good few years. i mulch it like madly and use chicken pellets. its got quite a stem on ...

some nice jungle and plants love the Eremurus its on my list now! Your brugmanisa are massive, were did u get these from and what size did u start them from, mine are still small but took from cuttings this year.
You must have to lift alot of the plants?

would placing a large dustbin over the plant protect it, when extreme forst or snow falls, Or maybe a walk in greenhouse be any good,ive got one outside i must overwinter this year, its grown well but next yr will be the tester...
or do u treat them as a basjoo and wrap up with fleece and straw?
