Bottle Palm

Has anyone grown one of these,can't spell the proper name!Fell in love with them on holiday,obviously will need to be kept inside with the occasional visit to the patio on warmer days icon_sunny .Any advice please,also where I can buy one from.

Fuerteventura...Corralejo area

I'm off to the sun icon_sunny (hopefully) on Saturday and was wondering if anyone can recommend any gardens worth a visit,as we have never visited this part of Fuerteventura before.Thanks and Happy New Year :D

Can't believe Banbury was the only place to have frost on Sunday night!Woke up at 4am and ran around the garden like a looney with fleece.We must have had rain and then it froze, the nanas and brugs were most affected but seem OK now!

I noticed that my Strelitzia reginae is producing what might be a flowering stem. At least it doesn't look like a normal leaf as its growing out of the side of the plant. http://www.postimage.org/aV1WCk5A.jpg I bought this plant at Fuerteventura airport at the end of a holiday there five years ago....

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but thats exactly what happened to mine,the leaves hung on for months getting drier until it was only fit for the compost heap :cry: get yourself a new easier palm to replace it :)

HI My Wilco Colocasias are growing well,and getting a bit cramped in their pots,as the weather has warmed up dare I plant them outside yet? :? If so do they do well in full sun/shade help please!
