Hi Nbd, It was moi that bought the heating cables of ebay :lol: I connected one end of the cable to the live terminal and tge other to the neutral with a waterproof junction box nice and easy :) Just make sure when you plug it in that its protected by an RCD,very important that or you could go Bang...

NBD , Don't rub the very end part of the probe just the silver stem. Mines a cheapo as Don calls it. Good point Dave, most of the cheapo probes require a quick rub with a fine sandpaper before use to remove oxidation. NBD its a secret :lol: I use Levingtons ericaceous 56 ltrs@£2.99 and that comes in around 5.5-6.0. Its mainly used for the varigated Bananas but I do pot the others in it too. Small shredded bark will also help reduce the Ph as will pine needles. I think sulpher does too but i have never tried it. ...
