Any experts here on Grapes

This may not be everones idea of exotic but it seems the only place I know to ask advice.I have a large black hamburgh grape as seen in Hampton Court but apart from growing like the clappers it doesn't fruit at all.I imagine it needs pruning but I don't know how or when to do this.I grows over a lar...

Can somebody please explain what are Ghost Carp and Ghost Koi are they the same thing.I have had koi for a very long time but they show no interest in duckweed at all.Are Ghost Koi the same as Ogons(Koi) which are a metallic silber colour and also a metallic gold colour?

NBD mine have been dragged into a cold shed where they will stay until spring. I hope you kept all the cut pieces to use as cuttings. What types do you have ? Hi Mark Sorry but I don't know their names only the colours, white, apricot and pink, they are all huge except the white one which hasn't grown...

I have just dug up some huge Brugs 10 feet tall ,hacked them down to stumps 1 foot long and put them in a dustbin of dry peat.Have I done the right thing,it's only temporary until I can think of some other solution. They are in bins in a garage, hoping for some reassurance that I have somehow helped t...

NBD you have sent a link to a jacaranda tree not a protea. Proteas need poor soil thats not had any manure in it and they will survive outside with a bit of protection. The feed that TravennaX sells is made just for proteas. Bodders is our protea grower so he will be able to help you out far more t...

Is there a cheap way of supplying supplimentary light

As the days are now quite short and temps are not too bad the problem is the low light level.I have used metal halide in the past but it is quite dear to run,not even sure how many hours a day it needs to run.Does anyone have any idea how much a 175 watt halide light would cost for say 12 hours a da...

Is there a restriction on sending plants from Australia.I did enquire once but no nurseries seemed interested due to the restrictions on sending plants abroad and even from one State to the other

Re: ebay accounts - be careful

I have just discovered that my ebay account was compromised. Fortunetly all that was done was to send spam emails to people, and ebay spotted it very quickly and locked my account. I understand from them that financial data is kept elsewhere. However remember to change your password and log out of ...
