A forum is better for referencing old information but Facebook is easier to upload photos and you can access it easily on a mobile device.
Edit - if Aiden isn't in to gardening he can't be expected to keep checking this is working.

Welcome back HTUK
Yes if it was Aidan thank you. I will tell you what I noticed, every other time the site has gone down there has been comments on other forums. This time not a murmur from any one! What does that tell you? A bit sad isn't it. Jas. It was Elge Onion who put on post on a Fcebook group. Someone then t...

Karl I have had tender succulents in my garden for several years. I take them in for winter but leave the excess out. In some areas of the garden top growth is fine, in other areas they lost the top growth but have come back. The main difference I have noticed is that the maximum temperature differs...

Chez, not sure if you mean random tempratures can be higher in parts of Yorkshire compared to West mids?, maybe on the east coast areas but as an average comparison were warmer down here. No Karl, I don't mean odd occurrences. I have many areas I watch on my weather app. I realise they are probably...

Tatter some areas of Yorkshire differ greatly, even only fifteen minutes drive by car. We are much warmer than a lot of midlands areas.
I would leave it in the tub unless we have really low temperature forecast. Pots can get frozen really quickly.

Why do people plant so close to walls and fences? It would have been okay planted further towards the hedge.

Thanks very much. It's a great plant for outside in the hot border as it gives a bit of colour. I've kept this outdoors before and it has come back in the spring. It did look quite sad for a while though. Best to bring indoors to a greenhouse or house when it's chilly. Jon - when are you going to b...

Thank you. I'd definitely be interested, the pictures of Dendrobium orchids I saw online are beautiful. I've been looking at orchid prices in places near to me and they start at £10 per plant. Orchids seem to be one of the few flowering house plants that are universally cat friendly. They are also ...

I have orchids. Its better to keep them dry, I would not suggest soaking them. I have only every killed mine when they get too wet. I have Phalaenopsis and Dendrobium orchids. Dendrobrobium look like canes and mine has lots of tiny white flowers all up the stem. My Phalaenopsis flower each year at t...

I haven't seen them in frost but it hasn't been cold enough here to stop them yet. Has your greenhouse been below zero yet? We have only had two light frosts here, only one a ground frost. The other frost was just on the cars not the ground or anything else.

Well what a lot of fuss about nothing! There wasn't even a frost at 10pm last night. At 7am this morning it was 3 degrees C here. The weather forecast this morning said some parts of Scotland had -10 last night; ouch!

Happy New Year! Sorry to hear your sciatica is playing up Ele. We have had only two light frosts this season. We have the butia tucked up in its frame and have just wrapped another up in fleece like a mummy and covered with a fleece bag. The cycad has been given the same treatment and two other plan...
