Brugmansia question

Our brug is currently sat in the shed with a bit of hessian over it (not fully wrapped up). Its looking a bit sad for itself in particular it looks very dry. Should we water it or is it better to over winter it dry?

I have read a number of times that Sanguinea is at least root hardy. Today I have read that Datura Wrightii can be overwintered in the ground in all but cold areas of the USA. Bit vague! I've got a single brugmansia cutting, and want to make sure it roots. Having never done this before, what's the most guaranteed way to root one? I don't want to lose this cutting as it was difficult to get.

Thanks guys, for the Brug cuttings yesterday, now what do I do with them :?: Have heard they root in water, but at what temp, and does it need changing everyday. :roll: Any help will be greatfully received :wink:
