Tetrapanax help!
Mine completely defioliates during and after winter. If the growing point is damaged, new leaves will grow back quickly in the growing season. I'm no expert, but I wouldn't worry to much these things are quite tough

Tetrapanax help!
It has like a downy covering on it, if thats what you mean. Soft young growth can easily get nipped by frost. Just cut it off and it will grow more leaves. If the growing tip gets damaged cut it off and it will shoot from the side. In our neck of the woods a large T rex in a pot approx 5L is about £...

Tetrapanax help!
Hi Jurassic,
I cant help much without seeing a picture, however it is probably one of two things, It could be damage sustained at the nursery, or the leaves that haven't been destroyed in the winter tend to drop in the spring. Hope that helps. Let us know what happens.
Regards Jas.

Thanks to Gardeners World I'm having trouble finding any Tetrapanax Papyrifer Rex plants, those that are for sale are beyond I can afford.

... Graham. It’s a real shame that the blog is missing the exciting bits of the gardens construction but I’m thankful that I didn’t lose the lot! The Tetrapanax were well behaved until last year. I’d probably pull out about 10 suckers a year but last year I must have pulled out 50-100!! I sold the ...

Hello, Newbie here, Can I ask which variety of tetrapanax is in the first pic as it seems to grow low to the ground. Mine is about six foot tall and just coming into flower (the frost seems to trigger this every year)

Moving T-Rex
I have a Tetrapanax which is in the wrong place and I'd like to move it, however, I have heard that they don't take too kindly to root disturbance. Your experiences and advice would be appreciated.
