I saw this in a local GC this morning for a pound, bargain I thought.... be rude not to, anyway it was labeled up as an Aloe which it obviously isn't, my guess was Agave filafera, am I close

Sowing agave seeds
Any tips on how to sow agave seeds? I've got gentryi and ovatifolia. This is what I did: prepared mix of peat 50%, grit+vermiculite+sand 50% put that into a seed tray, sterilised it with boiled water placed seeds on top misted with water ...

Both of these arrived earlier this year and I've just got round to sorting them out
Which is which? Is the one with soft leaves desmettiana?. How hardy are these two--so far they've had -3C for the odd few hours without any noticeable effect.

Hi Guys I got this from b n q for £7.49. After doing some research it turns out to be an Agave americana "Medio Picta". So am quite chuffed.
