Happy 2019 everybody! My father in law moved to another house in Spain, near Orihuela. His house has a patio, so everything has to be in pots. I believe there are no frosts. For now, the mildness continues.....we'll have to wait and see what the SSW is bringing us. The alps have loads of snow, maybe we'll stay on the mild side

this is what I did 5 years ago

They have grown quite a bit, so protection will be a bit of a problem now. 3,5 m trunk makes the whole palm now around 5 m high
