Non-running bamboo's?
Re: Non-running bamboo's?
Fargesia, I particularly like the varities Simba and Jumbo.
I'll be putting more of these around my garden this summer.

Jumbo sounds good. Simba too short. I need a bamboo to replace a large butia we lost this year. It will be used as a small screen in the back garden blocking the view from the back gate to the hot tub. I like that the Jumbo arches at the top. Descriptions say yellow canes and green canes. Which are you getting on your Jumbo?GoggleboxUK wrote:Fargesia, I particularly like the varities Simba and Jumbo.

Looks like Jungle Giants has a good deal on 10L Jumbo's £30.64 + ship. Anyone have a coupon code?
Still open for more suggestions. I need to replace lots of lost plants and bamboo's seem to be a front runner in replacing the larger focal specimens.

It was the curving tops that I really liked too Tessa.
I was thinking about getting 2 yellow caned and one green Jumbo and planting the green one in the middle.
There's a good guide to clumping bamboo here:
