Found this at the weekend while helping out at my In laws.
I guess its a Staghorn beetle larvae or maybe a whichity grub
Whatever it is its blimming ugly.

It doesn't look that ugly to me if it doesn't eat my plants. Pet hate for me is vine weevil grubs, after the bizzy lizzy top has fallen off. I soak my bizzy lizzy pouches for about 30 mins once a week. I'm hoping vine weevil can't survive drowning for 30 mins.

I have to say I wasn't in the least bit tempted to reinact a bush tucker trial
One of my main pests this year is a type of moth that I've yet to ID that keeps laying its eggs on just about every plant I have.Mainly the Aeoniums during the winter inthe greenhouse.Yesterday I even discovered one down the middle of my Helens Hybrid roller
Then theres the Lily beetles
Not to mention the dreaded "16 montholdtoddler"
