A good Trachycarpus bargain but what are they?

Post by Yorkshire Kris »

These three were sold as waggies from my local garden centre. Bargain at £7.50 each. The leafs are quite interesting and a bit different from other trachies I have.

I think time the labelling is correct and they ar indeed waggies(the labelling at my local GC is notoriously dodgy)

My "big" waggy may well be dead as the emerging spear has dried up. So these three are the replacements.

I don't think so Kata. My local GC always has very good pricing on plants. It was new stock in and there was another 20 or so left at this price.

The market should be flooded with cheap waggies this year. A big company in Holland that specialised in Korean waggies is bankrupt and there is 150,000 waggies dumped on the market.
I would guess ebay will be flooded with them this summer.

I wont be selling them on and yes Nigel I think they are defo from Holland as the GC orders 1000000000s of things from there! They buy in bulk and sell very cheap. The GC is always very busy!
