Washingtonia robusta germinated. HELP!!

Post by Tiddy »

I have got two of my washintonia robusta seedlings that have germinated icon_cheers Both have a long thin sprout and one of them has a thicker sprout going off in the opposite direction. My question is, yes you've guessed it, which way up do I plant them icon_scratch
Thanks in anticipation.

which of the sprouts have a greenish tinge to them as they will be the new leaves in time where as the plain white ones will be roots :?: :?: :D

in that case Tiddy, I'd plant sideways about 1cm deep. The plant knows which way is up and down, and the roots will go down towards gravity, and the leaf shoot will grow away from gravity. Once in the light the leaves will grow towards the light.
Best regards
