Trex (Tetrapanax papyrifer 'Rex') pup pot growing advice

I removed one Trex pup which was growing on the wrong side the palm bed. it was very small and did not think it would survive, still I potted it up and put in a sunny window sill. 2 weeks on there is some small leaf movement.

What is the best advice there for this leave where it is or put pop out side?

Looking for the exact same advice myself...plus...taking them out the ground safely help as well.

should you not cover with a plastic bag like a cutting?
