Cornwall Photologues - 5. Glendurgan

Post by simon »

This garden is in the next valley along from Trebah. For that reason they are quite similar lanscape-wise but I think Trebah is probably the better garden.

This particular visit was prematurely curtailed when we had an ufortunate accident. My daughter got under my feet while I was carrying my son in a baby harness and the upshot was that I she fell and I stepped on her leg and fractured her Tibia. Needless to say we spent the rest of the day in the nearest A&E. Luckily it was our last day.

i agree, if you havent visited either then do both on the same visit, and like you i prefer trebah... not sure why, but glendurgan is very nice but you can see its an NT garden, whereas trebah just has a special air about it...

pity about your accident though, hope your daughter is making a speedy recovery..

he says its a hybrid from the mount so might be a natural one, and has some davidbramwellii in it, but he's not sure of the other parent

Yes Daisy made a full recovery, thanks. I felt like crappe but it was unavoidable. To make it worse, the whole time she was in plaster she told everyone she met "My Daddy stepped on me".

Nice one Dave. I used to love Motorcross. Haven't been for years though. Those kids are so fearless. I gave it a go when I was a lad but I was too much of a pussy  .
