I've voted for a mild winter in the hope that it'll pay some attention to what the members of this forum want. But I've got a nasty feeling that it'll ignore our democratically expressed vote.

I'm in the North, it's always going to be harsh.

I'll be very surprised if the lowest we get is above -10c. Pleased but surprised.

My boys want snow - I DON'T.

My feeling is for an 'average' winter but that will probably include a mix of mild and cold spells. I favour mild (just) if only for the fact that I live in a mild area. icon_sunny

Maybe a Natterjack Toad? They live in coastal sand dunes.

Based on the fact that last winter was average temps, although a very cold December, followed a mild Jan and Feb, I'd go along with average one again
Best regards

I'll go along with that statement, there's bound to be the odd exceptionally cold spell here and there, with maybe the coldest Wedneday ever, or the deepest ever snowdrift on the M.86 some place or other, there alway's is, but on the whole it will probably even out.

What I'd like and what I suspect we will get are extreme opposites. I'm married to a weather fanatic, who has done extensive research into 'climate change', he drives me nuts trying to explain stuff, I have asked him his honest opinion of whats to come and voted accordingly :D
