Harsh Winter Or Mild Winter Poll
Harsh Winter Or Mild Winter Poll
what are all your views on what this winter might be like? worst than the last 2 years or back to normal winter temperatures?
Re: Harsh Winter Or Mild Winter Poll
I've voted for a mild winter in the hope that it'll pay some attention to what the members of this forum want. But I've got a nasty feeling that it'll ignore our democratically expressed vote.

Mild with short bursts of lower than average overnight cold recovering with better daytime temps.

I'm in the North, it's always going to be harsh.
I'll be very surprised if the lowest we get is above -10c. Pleased but surprised.

Re: Harsh Winter Or Mild Winter Poll
My boys want snow - I DON'T.
My feeling is for an 'average' winter but that will probably include a mix of mild and cold spells. I favour mild (just) if only for the fact that I live in a mild area.

Maybe a Natterjack Toad? They live in coastal sand dunes.redsquirrel wrote:our dillan picked up a dirty great toad in the dunes in cornwall last week, never expected to find one so close to the sea.

Re: Harsh Winter Or Mild Winter Poll
Based on the fact that last winter was average temps, although a very cold December, followed a mild Jan and Feb, I'd go along with average one again
Best regards
Dave

I'll go along with that statement, there's bound to be the odd exceptionally cold spell here and there, with maybe the coldest Wedneday ever, or the deepest ever snowdrift on the M.86 some place or other, there alway's is, but on the whole it will probably even out.Dave Brown wrote:Based on the fact that last winter was average temps, although a very cold December, followed a mild Jan and Feb, I'd go along with average one again

What I'd like and what I suspect we will get are extreme opposites. I'm married to a weather fanatic, who has done extensive research into 'climate change', he drives me nuts trying to explain stuff, I have asked him his honest opinion of whats to come and voted accordingly
