Two shrubs both evergreen, two photos of each. Earlier in the year the one with red berries had silvery foliage but it isn't very silvery today. The one with white flowers is flowering at the moment if that helps.

Re: Two evergreen shrubs for ID
Plant 1 - Cotoneaster. Couldnt tell you the species as its most likely a cultivar.
Plant 2 - I know Ive seen it before and Im thinking viburnum but I doubt it is. Gets purplish black berries after the flowers.

Re: Two evergreen shrubs for ID
I would say Cotoneaster, possibly horizontalis and Viburnum tinus.
Looking again it's definitely not horizontalis but I don't know which variety it is!

Ditto to Cotoneaster sp., and Viburnum tinus.
Re: Two evergreen shrubs for ID
Definitely Cotoneaster - variety 'coral beauty'?
Viburnum Tinus, if dwarf, variety 'Eve Price'?

Gosh so I was right with the viburnum. Just shows I trust my intuition a bit more...

Sean. Do they grow where you are?Troppoz wrote:Gosh so I was right with the viburnum. Just shows I trust my intuition a bit more...
Both are very popular evergreen 'seasonal' plants here, due to the berries on both, and the flowers on the Viburnum, which are also scented as an added bonus.
Re: Two evergreen shrubs for ID
Nigel they definitely dont grow up here. Ive seen them on my visits to southern climes mostly when visiting my mother in Canberra.
I thought the verbena had a perfume, I was certain about the berries though
