Give them back next year Jo.

Not exactly "garden related" but it will get used for many garden related situations. NEW CAMERA! check in on out!

Well after all, I decided not to buy any plants with the money but I added to it and purchased a new camera instead. Hopefully there will be some nice photos of my garden next year once I can work the bloomin thing!!!
Funnily enough, I can take a nice picture of the moon blinkin miles away ( Photo taken last night ) but when I take a picture of something in my living room it comes out blurry
Time for some serious reading up I think! icon_study

Cameras are so hi tech these days. The one I have has far more features than I could ever hope to use or learn.

the moon is extremely bright = short shutter
your living room is very dark in comparison = long shutter

I got some gardening books including Christopher Lloyd's "Exotic Planting for Adventurous Gardeners". I'd borrowed a copy from the library last month but some joker had gone to the trouble of ripping out loads of pages so it's nice to have a mint copy to browse through.

This is a great book and very inspirational.

If it's a mint condition does that mean it has a whole through the middle instead of pages missing?!! :D

Seriously though, thats the book that I have pinched the most planting ideas from. I love the dahlias, verbenas and the amicias. Enjoy!

Springy, that's a great picture of the moon icon_cheers

What setting did you have it on, I've tried in the past to take one of the moon but mine never turns out as well or close as what yours has - I'd love to get a shot like yours. I've also had a new camera, and have noticed now that mine hasn't even got a show-how booklet with it, you now have to download it first from disc, and the more I'm looking through it, the more confused I'm getting  I'd rather have a booklet and sit and read it at leisure.
