I've been really lucky here and kept the growing point on mine without any protection,in fact I'm sure it's trying to grow. Lowest it got down to was -8, so pretty normal temperatures for here this year icon_cheers

My large (ish) T-rex seems to have a solid growth point and even the small one (in the ground) looks solid. Fingers crossed icon_thumleft
Most wanted list - Any Young Trachycarpus and/or fern.

when it got bad i put a pop bottle filled with straw over the growing point,
then when it got worse i put a plant fleece over it, held straight like a cover.

after it didn't get better i but an old table cloth over it like a tippee

overkill?

I have one that was in a pot in a heated greenhouse which looks like its dead :evil: I think it might have dehydrated :oops: I'm just waiting now to see if it pups or not. I have others though which are fine :)
