wrong one ... you need something that comes close to 3-1-6 if you want to use similar to the specialist banana fertilizer (banana fuel)

But that ratio is for fruiting bananas and mine aren't fruiting. Maybe one day! icon_thumleft

I make my own using crushed nettles, but i don't know what the nitrogen ratio is on that. I also use horse muck in the ground that is something like 5-6 percent. Dried blood is pretty high with a ratio of 12-14 percent.

I've gone for the Chempack as it was easiest to find. Thanks again for the advice.

I only plan to use it to feed the 'gross feeder group' as I tend not to feed my plants growing in the ground. My borders get a thick mulch of well rotted manure every autumn and have done for the past 5-6 years, so the soil is pretty nutrient rich.

"Feed the soil not the plant" as they say. :D
