Gordon Rigg's is the best of the mainstream garden centres in the area. The Walsden branch is better than the one in Rochdale and worth the extra distance. Not exotic though, obviously.

Barton Grange (just of Jct 31 of the M6) has a load of exotics in at the moment but prices range from reasonable to ludicrous.

It's worth negotiating of you visit as they tend to push prices high with the intention of discounting at a later date. At this time of year they will be wanting to make room for new stock and may well be encouraged to drop a way.

Barton Grange as Goggle says, pricy, but lovely plants and everything garden related icon_thumleft
