I need a bit of inspiration !!! I am visiting my Mum this weekend to do her garden I could do with a bit of help, has anybody and good suggestions for garden centre or garden nursery to visit ? exotics would be nice

Gordon Rigg's is the best of the mainstream garden centres in the area. The Walsden branch is better than the one in Rochdale and worth the extra distance. Not exotic though, obviously.

i'm not sure must have posted twice I think I might go up to Myescough College garden centre near Preston then onto Birkacre might be interesting.

Barton Grange (just of Jct 31 of the M6) has a load of exotics in at the moment but prices range from reasonable to ludicrous.
It's worth negotiating of you visit as they tend to push prices high with the intention of discounting at a later date. At this time of year they will be wanting to make room for new stock and may well be encouraged to drop a way.
