Banana question?

Post by RoyBhamUK »

Is it too late to remove banana pups large or small? I'd like to try and save them from the coming winter and have a back up stock.

Many thanks Roy

Now is good. At least three leaves will ensure there are roots

Ive got a lot that seem to be attached to the main stem, soil level.

Do these break off easy or shall i leave these until next year?

If you ease away the growing medium and see plenty of roots attached to the pup you can cut these away and repot. No roots - wait till next year.

Hi Roy,
What nanas are we talking about… basjoo pups root when small but sikkimensis pups need to get some size on them first!

Sorry Palmer only just spotted your post, they are all basjoo's and all re-potted or transplanted now, I am pondering whether to wrap them all up for winter very soon.

P.S. I have clicked the "Notify me when a reply is posted" button
