Hardy Tropicals UK

Not sure if this topic has been covered before but I wondered if you guys had any non-plant items in your garden. We've all just seen Don's big croc and I know there is the odd carved head around, courtesy of Gary.

Here's a couple of mine....
I got this ant from Chelsea one year
This bug is made from recycled bits and pieces and is solar powered so its rear end lights up at night
And finally I've had this little Meerkat for years..
I have a few more but thought that would do for now. Let's see what you guys have then.

Leaf man Spooky Bill Spike and Shrooms Work has stopped on my Breeze block carving at the moment but I hope to unvail him before end of summer

Well we start off quite tastefully, with my terracotta fern ball from Chatsworth House:

But then it goes downhill a bit:



I have another of his kind which I picked up on Friday, but no photos yet. And then it really gets quite silly, with my cracking pair of tots:

It is a Stego-sore-'arris, Mark! The other one (if it's sunny tonight I'll get a photo of it) is probably a made-up-a-saurus.

I have a couple of pink flamingos They are very shy and hide.......
Not really my taste and they were given to me as a 'present'.

Long story short I gave a friend hideous house warming presents for the garden in form of a ceramic mushroom, caterpillar and something else from Wilko, knowing full well English politeness couldn't refuse to accept and display them. I'm nasty like that
As a reciprocating gift I got two pink plastic flamingos back. They are so bad I've grown to like them .....

I'm a sucker for tinkling toadstools, but they do cater for us tropical types, by including some exotic animals. i've even named them Mr Echo the Gecko and Mrs Sprog the Tree Frog.http://www.tinklingtoadstools.co.uk/

I LOVE GARDEN ORNAMENTS! I have loads and often retire some to my basement for a season and bring other stuff out. At the moment my favorites are probrably....

Fred (which has been described as the best evergrin in my garden!) And my main project last year (I achieved my level 2 city and guilds art and design qualification specialising in stained glass).
And I am sure you saw Ian's rattlesnake instalation on another thread!

How on earth have I missed Fred before now I noticed Ians rattlesnakes the other week and thought they looked cracking
Now I'm going to have to go out and take a few pics in the garden

I love that iguana Alan, very realistic and I also like that stained glass John. I have a friend who does stained glass classes, maybe I could commision her to do something similar!

We've got lots of ornaments but most of them are not positioned yet as to where they're supposed to be still have loads of projects to do.
