Cool here with plenty of drizzle at the moment. Feeling much fresher and cooler so a front must have gone over or something.

Missed this post lol

Thunderstorm started at 615 am. So heavy and sideways rain my skylight started to leak. Watched it till it eased off was a great spectacle.

Karl I bet you get loads of business after an extended dry spell? Why is it roofs seem more prone to leak in these conditions?

Rain here is like something in SE Asian Monsoon.

I hear the mighty thunder,

The plants are sighing in relief at the bit of rain we have had this morning.

I hope its fine and quiet around 9am though as thunder and lightning scares me when outdoors.

The ground is rock hard as already mentioned but at least cats can't dirty.

Just got in from a night shift, thunder and lightening all night with some seriously heavy rain.
A ceiling came crashing down along with tons of water, then we had to make a walkway with pallets to get out of the building!

Thunder and lightning from about 4am with some heavy rain, but only 6.9mm so wasn't enough to cause flooding. The garden is looking much fresher this morning, but this won't have soaked in far. Need 6.9mm a day all week.

Still hearing rumbles in the distance.
Best regards
Dave

Lucky you! .20 of an inch is all here, just enough to settle the dust....Big deal. Sunny now and ground almost dry again.

Are you floating away?   Hardly anything here but everything is at least wet.

Seriously though, is three inches an official local reading, because that is a huge amount. icon_thumleft

No it's how much (roughly) rain is in my plastic wheelbarrow

It rained so much everyone's guttering was overflowing like a waterfall and the cracked clay soil was a pond within minutes!
