don't wish you had one there about the hardest thing I have ever had to overwinter. mine has been in a 60f greenhouse all winter and there both about dead

but have you had the winter from hell Mike, like North Carolina up thru D.C. ?

They seem to need additional light for me

this was the worst winter in 30 years which did not help and I agree adding lights makes them much easier to overwinter. my only point is on the scale of bananas this one is at the top of the difficulty meter for overwintering

Agree I've lost mine too. It was only a small one in a 9cm pot :(

Looks like Ruby is now on a leaf a week and both sides are red. Can't believe it's colouring so early.

That's very impressive. This plant is so hard to grow well.

Needs a tropical environment to do well.... temps above 20C, 24 hours a day, and high light levels and humidity. Not something it is easy to recreate here.

Don't think it ever falls below 20c at my mothers place. It gets very warm water, too. Light levels must be high enough as even the largest pup has a red edge on the lime green leaf.
