Its not cold down here in Southampton as it got up to +33c in my side entrance today so it felt a bit warm.
A new spear on my Syagrus palm has just reached 6 feet in length but its still to slow for me.

Re: Naturally getting colder.
Me neither 7.3c here, at what temp will traccies stop growing all together? Is there a nighttime low trigger if you get me, eg 5c nights regardless of daytime highs. Or do they just cease at a certain temperature and restart when it goes above, even if this happens on a daily basis.Dave Brown wrote:Don't like it, and there are 8 months colder than this

Not to bad yet down here in Southampton.
It only got down to +12c last night which was still quite chilly for us but we had a lot of heavy rain showers during today so the water butts are slowly filling up again.
Not much wind yet but that will happen sooner or later this month.
All the basjoos here are huge and green with very few damaged leaves so that is good i suppose.

The temps have kind of leveled out here..32C right now last night only got down to around 18c..should stay like this till the first of oct. then start to go down
Re: Naturally getting colder.
Been hovering around 6c last two nights and looking the same for tonight. Days have struggled to reach 18c. Leaves on a couple of trees have started to go yellow already, that didn't happen til november last year.
Re: Naturally getting colder.
currently 12, but it certainly feels fresh out there!
went on a night ride last night on the bike, and the knees were rather chilly! on the open fields there was a mist and grass was soaked, hovering around 10.5*c.
Today was great though.
