After flowering in 2010 this Eucomis has just been happily producing leaves each year but never a flower. Finally it is flowering again. This is the largest flowering Eucomis. I've kept it in the same pot for 4 years now.

Well done, Kris. You must have missed that these past three years.
Do you have another pic that gives some scale? (Don't waste a Brandy bottle
)

I purchased some at gardeners world live show this year as bulbs. They are in full leaf at the moment and looking great! I just hope that I don't have to wait 3 years for mine to flower!
Great to see some pics of their flowers Kris!

Mine flowered in it's first year Springy. I they produce lots of offsets that take a while to bulk up again and flower unlike bicolor that flowers every year.

Does the flowered bulb then die and the off shoots mature or can a flowered bulb flower again?

With the mine the main bulb has resprouted each year, just took three years to reflower.

The same flower two weeks later. The flower spike has expanded and looks good at night time.

Thanks, Kris.
I want. But where do I put it? No ground space left that's longer than your ruler

Looking good Kris. I have lots of E. bicolor seedlings this year from last years flowers. They don't self seed for me as they do for others further south. I keep meaning to try E. comosa from seed. These would probably be plain green unlike Sparkling Burgundy but a good size and the seed catalogues indicate it's the hardiest Eucomis.
