Re: Ronseal or Cuprinol
dont!
paint your decking and you will have to do it every year ....
rather paint with yacht varnish, but get a good one

Re: Ronseal or Cuprinol
It is personal choice but if you use a colour then it is difficult to go back to natural at some point in the future.
Best regards

Definitely dont paint. Worst thing I did with mine. Replacing all mine next spring and will oil it.
Most wanted list - Any Young Trachycarpus and/or fern.

Le Tonkinois yacht varnish is what I would use .... amazing stuff and non slip (search google)

I will be varnishing my hifi speaker cabinets with this ...(old B&W DM2 transmission speakers)

Re: Ronseal or Cuprinol
Seems that screwfix own brand no nonsense decking oil wins for me got some great reviews and works out £10 cheaper than the branded ones
Re: Ronseal or Cuprinol
year 1 I used "Ronseal decking finish" the first year, after winter it was a mess
http://www.hardytropicals.co.uk/forum/v ... 5&start=15
year 2 I used Cuprinol Ultimate, and looked the best coming out of winter...
http://www.hardytropicals.co.uk/forum/v ... 5&start=45
year 3 went back to ronseal and it already is wearing away, chair feet scuffed it easy etc
http://www.hardytropicals.co.uk/forum/v ... =1&t=20404
So Cuprinol ultimate wins the off the DIY shed shelf roundup, but next year i'm going try try
