Evening all
Can anyone recommend a decent heater for my 13 by 8 greenhouse.
Also if i want to circulate air a decent fan.
Do heaters have a thermostat or do i plug into one.
Any links most appreciated.

Can be used as fan only and unlike a lot of fan heaters the fan is quite powerful. I use one in my 8x10 and it maintains a steady temperature even on the 1.8 kW setting

I would strongly recommend that you buy a quality [plug in] thermostat. The ones that come on budget heaters are very basic and likely to let the temperature swing anything up to 10C - which will either cost you a lot in "over heating" or potentially let the plants get too cold.Neil Ziemski wrote: Do heaters have a thermostat or do i plug into one.
They aren't cheap - £50-ish - but may well pay back in the first year.
I run the heater, on fan only mode, on a 15-minute segment timer with 15 minutes on, and 30 off. However, I have to move the plug to the thermostat and change it to "heat" when I think the night will be cold, so a separate fan would be better. Depends how many nights you will have the heater on I suppose, in my conservatory its only a few nights of the year when I actually need heat.
