Presume you mean Kalanchoe blossfeldiana? :wink: I think / hope it is less hardy, as where hardy, it is extremely invasive.

No, I meant Tradescantia Blossfeldiana which is why I asked the question.

blossfieldiana is the purple variety right? If so I have some, and it is not as hardy as fluminensis, but will come back year on year.

PS species names are always lower case: blossfeldiana :wink:

It's very small so I'll just leave it in and see how long it survives before the frost gets it. Never thought of putting fluminensis out in the ground.
Trad virginiana turned up this year too, not there last year and I haven't planted one. That's two Trads appearing from nowhere.

Hi Everyone - I'm new to the forum and this is my first post engagement! I would love to have a tradescantia Blushing Bride in my garden but I cant't find it available anywhere in the UK. DO you know. where I can buy them?

Welcome to the board Judy,

It is usually available somewhere on e-bay.

It was 'the must have' plant a few years ago.

Then for most of us it became a pest!

I think it is more often passed between friends than sold now.

Well we certainly know who our friends are Chad, are you normally in the habit of giving your friends pests!!!!!! How about diseases as well. :lol: icon_thumbdown

Tatter I seem to remember reading somewhere, Chad in another life was a doctor ( but I stand to be corrected ) so I thought the comment appropriate!!!!!! :D
