Pleased to say that my new Trachycarpus wagnerianus have arrived.

Have been looking for some good fortunei and wagnerianus for about a year and finally found some good ones at The Palm House. Unfortunately he has sold out of fortunei.

Great price and great quality. Found George to be friendly and helpful.

He grows them from seed so they have that British vigour and in my opinion look better than the imported ones.

I try to support independent growers where possible as they care about what they do and tend to grower more unique varieties. I'm getting more and more turned off by the production line mentality of the chain stores although being human sometimes can't turn away a sale item. I tend to think of it as a plant rescue.

Anyway here are the pics.

This weekend hopefully, beer, I mean weather permitting.

I do like your 2 Trachycarpus's out the front, look really good. May plant one out front.

Going to pick some dry spots for them.

Got two palm house waggys in my front garden, pristine specimens! Love your three icon_salut

Concur no harm in getting them in either, I planted mine in October 2 years back, figured better insulation for the roots in the ground than in a pot icon_thumleft

nice palms ....

I bought 2 from George for a client 2 years ago .... they are growing really well and are the focal point of that garden (a small 100 square meter garden planted in exotic style)

I need 2 palms for my front garden in spring .... would love to plant fortunei, but its a windy spot where they will be planted, so I may get 2 waggies from George instead
