It's a misprint, the Daily Express has it as 1,800 mph storm with 300 ft of snow
Best regards

You made me look at the Daily Express. They have a 'Pine tree grows tall in past 40 years story' (http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/447641 ... ecorate-it).

Who'd have thought a 40 year old tree would have grown taller than a human at full stretch?

Next week they'll be reporting on how water magically started to disappear from puddles in Uttoxeter when the sun came out in July :o

Is it better or worse to read the Express rather than the Star?

Well I have seen cold winterweather in the past after a mild December. So we are still not out of the woods, far from that...

The last couple of days where very good for this time of the year, almost 10 C, sun and no wind! Better then that you will not get it here.

Joe Seamone (Boca Joe) has put up pics of snow and ice storms in Maryland. :ahhh!: Looks quite nasty.

Meanwhile here, is just a plain cold December day with another frost this morning
Best regards

Still no frost here in my garden, although last couple of night were very close, ice on some cars....

Finally everything seems to be normal, cold in lapland, snow in the alps and mild here, ssw winds like it used to be

Winter is just starting, but it's a good start ! And I don't think it's flying by....

The US is taking a beating now, I saw charts on accuweather showing below 0 way down south. Alaska is relatively warm now I believe.

The on going venting at Fukushima is probably responsible for the mild Alaska weather right now icon_aaargh

On the plus side the palm trees on the West coast usa will soon be growing at double the normal rate due to fast approaching radiation that will result in mutations that will fit right in at the Fantasy Hybrid thread
