Pseudopanax 'Fiddlesticks'
Re: Pseudopanax 'Fiddlesticks'
very cool plants but def not hardy enough for me. possibly grafted onto more hardy root stock it could work over here
Re: Pseudopanax 'Fiddlesticks'
Surly the graft would die and the root stock would then grow if damaged by the weather?miketropic wrote:very cool plants but def not hardy enough for me. possibly grafted onto more hardy root stock it could work over here
Re: Pseudopanax 'Fiddlesticks'
We have P. Crassifolius planted in the ground. The soil is a thin layer over thick clay (and the gas supply into our house) It has been in for some years now, maybe 8 years, and is slow growing being about 8ft tall with the stripy juvenile 'swordfish' leaves. It has survived freezing winters when it was colder down 'ere than 'oop norf' so very hardy I reckon.
