I never wrap M. Basjoo. I do try to mulch the soil and in the recent harsh winters we had, they were killed back to the ground but came back from good strong roots. As I write, I have three or four stems taller than me, scruffy but still growing sowly. Have faith!
This winter we have spider plants outside in hanging baskets, common geraniums (pelargoniums) with feeble flowers and even last summers lobelia is sprouting into life!
