anyone planted out his maurelli ?
Forecasts are looking good, I doubt there will be frost in the garden....
Has anyone planted out the Maurelli yet or is that a dumb idea with the risks of frosty nights in mind?

No not yet, mines in the house growing on the window sill and new roots showing through the bottom of the pot

Lost my ensete ventricosum green one though.

My Maurelii also has roots out the bottom of the pot .My green fell over and had some damage to the roots and that caused root rot .I cut the roots off and now they regrown all good .Not given no water since October .My wife want happy I used a hairdryer to dry them out .
Re: anyone planted out his maurelli ?
Not planting out just yet but with the forecast for next week I will move all mine outside in their pots
Re: anyone planted out his maurelli ?
I just covered one up that was planted out this winter, it doesn't look too healthy but its still alive .
Re: anyone planted out his maurelli ?
You hope Rob, It could be May or June before you see the damage,
It was orange goo from a winter damage Cycad of mine, may be a different color for Ensetes damage.
It would be as rare as rocking horse poo for an Ensete to make it planted out all winter. Although frost was minimal to most its been very cold and wet for months.
Good luck though!
