hello, I was given this begonia yesterday, does anyone know what it is? the lady said it can go outside after frosts

Its possibly Semperflorens (wax or fibrous rooted begonias)

certainly its one of the popular Begonias. I have four waiting to grow in a pot, they are cascaders though for the hanging baskets.

I put them in a pot last year, still nice but cascades are better.

Notice the leaf, its different to yours?

I have forgotten its name, I will try and find out. Once seen some being propagated.

Begonia Thurstonii, don't think it can take a frost but if you have plant or two to spare you could try next autum and leave one outside. It prefers shade not full sun.
