Lovely palms and a good root ball on each. Should do well in time. I've got a Trachycarpus just starting to show signs of recovery after a year.

Incidentally, all of my Trachycarpus's have flower buds showing........much earlier than normal.

Yep, rootballs wrapped and soaked this morning, should be in the ground by end of the day.

Good, if done properly it will increase the weight considerably!

Thought I should finish this one off with a couple of pics of them in the ground.

Seem to be pretty solid and steady, have had some strong winds since they have been in and no sign of movement. The big one is tied to nearby old buddleia and couple of supports at the base, just in case.

Already had some of the local dog walkers commenting on them (positively) ......best quote had to be "what a great tree fern you have"!!

Put them in quite close to the stone walls, hopefully they will be there a long time and already pretty thick so shouldn't be an issue. Think they work quite nicely against the grey stone.

Just need to plan what to put underneath and nearby to them now! Borders will be expanded first.

They look great now re-planted.

You now need to watch the spears move. That will tell you what a good job you've done.
